Timestamp.week
The syntax for the .week attribute in Pandas

Parameter value

.week, being an attribute, takes no parameter value.

Return value

.week returns an int representing a number. This represents the week of the year from the date.

Example

# importing the pandas library
import pandas as pd

# creating a Timestamp object
a = pd.Timestamp(2022, 3, 25, 15)

# we obtain the week number of the year
WEEK = a.week

print("The is WEEK", WEEK, 'of the year 2022')
Implement the .week attribute

Explanation

  • Line 2: We import the pandas library.
  • Line 5: We create a Timestamp object, a.
  • Line 8: We obtain the week number from the given date using the .week attribute. The result is assigned to a variable, WEEK.
  • Line 10: We print the result of the WEEK variable.
