Power Pivot is one of the features of Microsoft Excel. It is referred to as an Excel add-in and is one of the most widely used features of Microsoft Excel in data analysis and data modeling industry. With Power Pivot, large chunks of data from various sources can be combined to perform efficient analysis of data and share useful insights.
The data that you work on in the Power Pivot window is stored in an analytical database inside the Excel workbook along with all updates, queries, and engine loads.
