The stack.top function in Scala is used to get the reference of the element at the top of the stack.

Figure 1 shows a visual representation of the stack.top function.

The following module is required in order to use the function: scala.collection.mutable.Stack.

Syntax

stack.top

stack is the name of the stack.

Parameter

This function does not require a parameter.

Return value

stack.top is used to get the reference of the element at the stack’s top.

This function does not remove that element from the stack.
