Twitter Developer Access

Lean how to request Twitter developer access for your applications.

To make network requests to Twitter’s remote servers, we need to request developer access.

I suggest doing this if you’d like to play around with the tweetfind application yourself or have a version of it running on your local machine.

If you choose not to, you’ll still be able to interact with the demo application below but without edit access. That’s so you don’t copy my API keys and go rogue with them. I don’t have trust issues; I’m just being careful.

You could have the steps completed in as little as 5 minutes. Don’t worry, I’ll walk you through each step. Here you go:

1. Apply for access.

Go to https://developer.twitter.com/en/apply-for-access, and click the “apply for a developer” account button.
