End User Computing (EUC) is a set of technologies and services that allow us to provide remote access to applications, desktops, and data required by any organization’s workforce. This allows them to work securely through any device from anywhere in the world.
Following are some of the main technologies that fall under the umbrella of EUC:
Virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI): VDIs allow us to create and manage virtual desktop environments on a centralized server. This technology allows us to run operating systems in the cloud rather than on individual physical devices.
Desktop as a Service (DaaS): Desktop as a Service (DaaS) is a cloud-based service where virtual desktops are hosted and managed by cloud platforms such as AWS. Instead of companies having to manage their own on-premises infrastructure for virtual desktops, DaaS allows them to access these desktops over the internet through a subscription model.
