## Introduction
Extensions are core to Azure Data Studio and represent an  invitation from Microsoft to developers worldwide to participate directly in the ADS Marketplace. This chapter will cover some indispensable and totally free extensions, which also happen to be just a few clicks away inside of ADS.

This course does not cover the topic of *creating* extensions, but of course, that does not prevent you from taking advantage of the ones available in the ADS Extension Marketplace. If you have read through this course sequentially, you have already seen a
couple of extensions. In the [Visualizing and Exporting Your Queries](https://www.educative.io/courses/azure-data-studio-masterclass/sanddance) chapter, we covered the popular SandDance extension, and in the [Reaching Beyond SQL](https://www.educative.io/courses/azure-data-studio-masterclass/using-the-simple-dataflow-extension-for-ads) chapter, we demonstrated one of our own extensions, eltsnap: Simple Dataflow. In this chapter, we will cover two more ADS extensions.
