Module Scope

Understand the importance of scope in Rust and how it impacts the lifetime of variables, ensuring memory safety and efficiency.

Before we explore Rust programming, let’s examine the fundamental concept of scopes and understand their implications. In Rust, scopes play a crucial role in managing the visibility and accessibility of variables within different contexts. Throughout this lesson, we’ll examine several types of scopes.

Since we’ve not covered most of the concepts being used in this lesson, let’s just focus on their curly brackets ({}) instead, as they will be covered later on in detail.

Function scope

A function’s scope can be defined as its stack frame on the stack. When a function is called, its stack frame (scope) is created, and everything inside its scope is also made available on the stack frame.
