Assigning and Unassigning Paths

Note: Only Managers can assign and unassign Paths to Team Members.

Assigning Paths

To assign a Path:

  1. Log in and navigate to your Onboarding Dashboard.

  2. Click the “Onboarding Paths” tab.

  3. For each Path, there will be an option to “Onboard Members”. Click on this.

  1. In the search box, “Select Member(s)”, write the name of the Team Member to be added.

    1. If the user to be added is part of the Educative subscription, the search results will show that user.

    2. If the user to be added is not part of the Educative subscription, provide the user’s complete email address, and click on “Invite [User Name] to the team.”

    3. If the user has already been assigned this Path, then they cannot be reassigned to the Path.

  2. Provide the Mentor’s name and select them.

  3. Once all assignments are done, click on "Assign this Path"

  4. At this stage, if in the assignments a user was invited, then a prompt will appear asking for assignment confirmation. Click on “Send Invite.”

  1. For each Team Member, review their Connects.

  1. To review the Connects for a different Team Member, select their name as shown above.

  2. Optionally, for each Team Member, change the point of contact for a certain Connect.

  3. To push the changes to all the Team Members that are being assigned the Path, click on “Apply for All” or "Remove for All".

  4. Once all the Connects have been reviewed and set, click on “Assign This Path” to complete the Path assignment.

Unassigning Paths

To unassign a Team Member and/or a Mentor from a Path, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to "Track Progress" in the sidepanel.

  2. Search for the Team Member you want to unassign.

Note: The search only works on Team Members, not on Mentors.

  1. As shown below, click “Unassign Path” to unassign the Team Member. By default, this breaks the link between this Team Member and the assigned Mentor.

FAQs

  • Can there be multiple Mentors per Path?

    • No. Currently, we allow only one Mentor per Path to ensure that there is a single person who is responsible for each Team Member’s Onboarding experience.

    • Managers, however, can still track the progress of all Team Members and can always jump in to resolve any Team Member’s blockers.

  • Will Team Member not currently part of the Educative subscription takes up a seat in the subscription upon assignment?

    • Yes. The seat will automatically be taken once the user has been invited.
