Confidence Intervals for Standard Errors

Let’s learn about confidence intervals for standard errors in this lesson.

Standard error bars

We can think of standard errors as the standard deviations of estimated statistics. In this case, it’s the standard deviation of the estimated means (SEM). This interval reflects uncertainty due to sampling—different samples give different estimates—and conveys our confidence in where the true mean probably lies.
