Limitations of the Runtime

Educative is committed to supporting all possible development platforms for our learners, but few take higher priority than others. Following are the platforms for which the support is still absent.

Demanding machine learning projects

For the time being, we support training and testing for simple yet effective machine learning and deep learning models. Support for computing infrastructure with GPU is yet to come. So all those projects that require the learner to use GPU for training or inference are deferred.

Android and desktop development

We are planning to provide support for Android frameworks that deploys your application onto the device seamlessly, but this is a work still under progress, so Android-based projects are deferred.

Similarly, although Educative supports the GUI widget to support desktop-based GUI applications, we are not focusing on them right now.

IoT and external devices

Currently, projects related to IoT devices and other external devices such as mobile phones, controllers, and FPGAs are not supported. Still, you can create projects that simulate a similar scenario to deliver the concept. The developed solution may be deployed on the device by the learner on their own.
