What is NumberUtils.toFloat() in Java?
The toFloat() method
toFloat() is a NumberUtils class that is used to convert the given string to a float value.
One variant of the method accepts a default value which is returned if the conversion fails.
How to import NumberUtils
The definition of NumberUtils can be found in the Apache Commons Lang package, which we can add to the Maven project by adding the following dependency to the pom.xml file:

Parameters
String str: This is the string to convert.float defaultValue: This is the default value to return.
Return value
This method returns a float value. If the conversion fails, it returns the default value.
