Critique the Storefront Design with Risks, Fixes, and Evidence

A production-readiness design critique names the top risk in each quality concern, the smallest fix, and the validation evidence. This hands-on lesson critiques a storefront baseline across six pillars and defends one next step under interviewer pushback. Covers: security, reliability, performance efficiency, cost optimization, operational excellence, and sustainability risks; fault-injection and load-test evidence; and ranking assumptions. Practice: storefront risk critique. Prerequisites: Well-Architected pillars and a baseline storefront diagram.

The seasonal storefront baseline is now the current state. In a five-minute production-readiness review, we do not redesign it. We identify the highest-leverage risk in each quality concern, propose the smallest meaningful change, and name evidence that could confirm whether the change reduced that risk.

Our critique is concern-driven rather than provider-driven. Quality labels vary, but the review should cover security, reliability, performance efficiency, cost optimization, operational excellence, and sustainability. For each concern, we make one bounded claim that an interviewer can inspect. ...
