How to create a MetaMask wallet

Overview

MetaMask is an advanced digital money wallet used to cooperate with the Ethereum blockchain. We can get to this by either using its application or a browser extension.

Browser support

The following web browsers support the MetaMask extension:

• Mozilla Firefox
• Brave
• Microsoft Edge

Creating a MetaMask wallet

The following are the steps to add a MetaMask extension to the Google Chrome browser:

• Step 1: Open Chrome Web-Store Extension Section.
• Step 2: Search for MetaMask in the search bar.

• Step 3: Click on MetaMask.

• Step 4: Tap the “Add to Chrome” button.

Note: After the extension is installed and added to the browser, the following page will be displayed.

• Step 6: Click “Get Started” to display the following page.

• Step 7: Click the “Create a Wallet” button.
• Step 8: Click the “I Agree” button.

• Step 9: Enter a password for the wallet.

• Step 10: Click the “Create” button. A page will appear to tell us about the secret recovery phrase. After reading, click “Next.”

• Step 11: To view the secret recovery phrase, click on the Lock Part. After saving it somewhere, click “Next.”

• Step 12: Confirm the recovery phrase by clicking the buttons below the box. After entering, click “Confirm.”
• Step 13: Click “All Done” to display the following page.

Congrats! We have successfully created our first MetaMask wallet. We can now get to our wallet by tapping on the MetaMask symbol at the upper right-end corner of our desired program.
