Review process workflow

Below are the steps that your Answer will go through before publication.

Plagiarism and topic check

Immediately after you submit your Answer, our team checks your article for plagiarism. We also double-check that your topic can be published. If your Answer passes these qualifications, it is sent onto the next phase.

Technical content review

During the technical content review, our team of technical content engineers thoroughly checks your Answer for technical accuracy and completeness. They ensure that all of the topics and concepts discussed are accurate and true. In this phase, our team also ensures that your Answer is following all Educative Answers' policies and guidelines.

Proofreading review

In this phase, our team of proofreaders conduct a line-by-line edit. This means that they review every line of your Answer to catch any errors. They also ensure that your Answer is clear, easy to understand, and correctly structured.

Edits needed

If you Answer requires major edits, such as fixing your code or explaining a concept correctly, you will receive an email from an Educative Answers team member. We encourage and invite contributors to interact with the edits they receive. This means that if you don't agree with an edit, please let me know! This is your Answer and our team is always willing to If you do not agree with a review from our team, please respond and list your exact reasoning. This is your Answer and it is important that you are happy with the end-result.Otherwise, contributors are required to make all necessary changes.

Policy

If you receive an email from an Answers team member, you have 21 days to incorporate the edits. You will receive 3 emails from an Answers team member, one every 7 days. If you have not resubmitted your Answer with edits incorporated 21 days after the initial email, your Answer will be expired and removed from our publication process. Even if your Answer is expired, you can still resubmit it once you have time to incorporate all the edits.

Publication

In this quick and final phase, the Answer team conducts one final review on your Answer. Once your Answer is free of all errors, it will be published!

What happens once you’re published?

Once you’re published:

  1. Your Answer will be posted on our community Twitter
  2. You will be put in the running to receive a three-month gift subscription to Educative.io if your Answer receives the most views in that month. Each Answer can only be chosen as the top once.
  3. You have the chance to share your Answer within your own community to help other developers learn and grow their knowledge!
