Overview

After calculating the taxes for our transactions, we need to ensure that Avalara correctly records and commits these transactions to our company account. However, there may be some instances where we need to cancel or adjust some of these committed transactions. We need to do this to make sure that our sales transaction data matches the data we report on our tax form during a tax audit. Such a scenario may occur, for example, if a user wants to refund an item or if acustomer cancels an entire order.
