Debriefing the Case Study
Explore how to critically analyze a telecom customer service agent case to ensure compliance with EU AI regulations. Learn to differentiate evidence requirements, manage deployment risks, and structure defenses based on architectural boundaries and operational records. This lesson helps you develop skills to evaluate authorization, confirm service changes, handle uncertainty, and maintain governance in agent deployment scenarios.
“The retail result matches the approved metric contract” and “the telecom says the plan change succeeded” require different evidence. The telecom claim concerns a business effect that can persist after the conversation ends. A defensible cross-case debrief explains what additional authority, confirmation, execution, and handoff evidence that effect requires. Your deployment decision must also preserve the unresolved readiness claims already recorded in both rehearsals.
What changed with actions?
Retail already required trusted permissions, supported business meanings, execution limits, and honest readiness claims. Telecom adds the power to change a customer’s service. That changes what a successful response must prove: The authorized customer accepted the exact supported change, and the downstream system applied the accepted terms without creating duplicate effects.
A fluent reply proves none of those facts. Even a correct plan-change specialist response leaves questions about how the request reached that specialist, whose service it targeted, and what happened after dispatch. The blueprint’s central cross-case changes are architectural regulation, risk-dependent generative freedom, and explicit failure containment between interacting agents.
Consider the tempting debrief:
“We copied the retail agent, added specialists, let the router select the account and safest action, and achieved better containment. If a change times out, a human can repeat it. Credit checks are excluded, so regulation is handled; Customer Engagement Suite would only slow us down.”
Keep this statement available. Each inference will fail against a particular boundary or missing record, not merely against preferred terminology.
Compare the two records
Try it first. Read retail-case.md without changing it. Before the worked comparison, record what the complete T17 result would prove and what a telecom message saying “change succeeded” would prove. Keep expected fixture values separate from observed execution. The retail fixture expects exactly one C1 row for ...
