This course is designed for novice programmers, entry level engineers and newcomers to Web Development who want to learn or revise the basic concepts related to computer networks.

The course is intended to be a refresher that can be completed in 10 hours.

Introduction to Computer Networks (ICN)

<ul><li>DHCP is a widely used TCP/IP protocol.</li><li>It is used to assign IP&nbsp;addresses (which are defined in the scope only) automatically to the computer system in the network.&nbsp; </li><ul><li>For example your wireless router at home assigns IP addresses to your device (computer, laptop, phone) as soon as it connects to the network</li></ul><li>It makes life very much easier than previous WINS Server.&nbsp; </li><li>It can also provide Static IPs to whatever server require like DNS FTP</li></ul> <ul><li>Diagram&nbsp;below explains how DHCP assigngs IP addresses</li><ul><li>DHCP Client requests an IP address upon joining the network and DHCP&nbsp;Server assigns each client (computer) an IP address from its IP Address database.</li></ul></ul>
