In this lesson, we’ll explore how to verify a YouTube creator’s phone number in order to add a thumbnail to a YouTube video.

Verify the creator’s phone number

To verify the creator’s phone number, visit the YouTube web phone verification page. Then perform the following steps:

• Select your country of residence from the country drop-down option and provide your phone number to receive the verification code from YouTube.

• You’ll be routed to another page where you have to provide the verification code you received on your mobile device and click the “SUBMIT” button.

• Finally, you’ll be routed to another page where the “Phone number verified” message will appear.
