How to create an account

If you are submitting as an individual, follow these steps:

1. Creating your account: To create your account, go to educative.io and click on the blue “Join for free” button in the top right corner.

2. Fill out the prompt: Fill out the prompts with your preferred email address.

3. Updating your profile: We recommend that you populate your profile so that users can check out your Twitter, GitHub, website, etc. To do so, click on the icon on the far right (it should have the initials of your name) and click on “view profile” and then click “edit.”

Sprucing up your Educative profile is a great idea for sharing your profile. It can help you demonstrate the work you’ve accomplished here on Edpresso!

How to use Edpresso

1. Log in to the educative account. If you’re already logged in, make sure to refresh the browser window.

2. Click on the create button. You’ll want to click the “create” button in the bottom left hand corner to expand your options. You should see two button options: “course” and “shot.”

3. Click on the shot option. When you click the shot button you should be taken to the main screen of your editor window. Once there, you can easily start creating shots.

4. Create a shot. To add a shot to Edpresso, click the blue box with the “+” sign. The page will open up with an “Add Title” button and a markdown box. From there, you’ll be able to start adding and editing content.

5. Add more content to your shot. If you need another markdown box, there’s a small “+” sign on the bottom left side of the editing window (can be seen in the image below). If you still want to add illustrations to support your content, you can click on the “+” sign and upload them.

6. How to access your shot. If you would like to find your shot, click on either “Draft” or “Submitted” to find your shot.

If you are having difficulty finding your shot, remember to search the title of your shot in both the “draft” and “submitted” sections. Still no luck? Email edpresso@educative.io.

7. Submit your shot: In order to submit your shot, you must click on “submit” in the top right hand corner of the shot editor.

Remember to submit your first draft on February 28th at midnight (GMT).
