## Welcome

Welcome to the Edpresso Technical Writing Workshop! We are so glad that you signed up and are excited to guide you through the process. Please read the entirety of this mini-course to get a handle on how to write a good Edpresso shot.

The purpose of this workshop is to help you practice working with a review process. Here at Edpresso we want to help you improve your writing skills and advance your career. Effective writing will assist you as you write code comments or documentation as a software developer. 

## Overview of guidelines

These guidelines will help you understand how to create a profile on Educative.io and how to use Edpresso. We want to make sure you are all set to begin writing once the workshop begins! These guidelines will entail:

* **Timeline**: A timeline of the workshop. 
* **What to expect**: This lesson will give you a quick step-by-step guide as to what to expect during the workshop.
* **How to use Edpresso**: Here we will go over how to update your profile and create a shot. 
* **Widgets and how to use them**: This lesson will explain all of the widgets available on Edpresso.
* **What is Technical Writing?**: This lesson will explain the purpose of Technical Writing.  
* **Grammar**: We will have a brief overview of some basic English grammar.
* **How to write well**: In this lesson, we will discuss how to approach writing and produce strong written work. 
* **What is an Edpresso shot**: Here we will go over Edpresso's standards and what we expect in an Edpresso shot.
* **How to start writing a shot**: Here we will give you all the tools to get writing!
