Quest Widget

Every reader learns at a different pace. Learners enjoy it when the instructor changes the course of learning according to their response. Educative provides the ‘Quest widget’ that introduces a 1:1 training environment with path-based content.

What are some common use cases?

Below are three common use cases:

  • Evaluate the concepts: After teaching a concept, evaluating it is tricky. Identifying common mistakes made by the readers is the key. Designing content around it and changing the flow depending on the learners’ responses can help fill the gaps.

  • Live Coding Environment - Using the wrong example: To learn coding, one must code. Formulating a wrong example can help learners understand the problem. It’s important to give them a chance to fix the problem and provide hints where necessary.

  • Mastery Learning: Let learners learn at their own pace to master fundamentals and then move to the advanced concepts. It provides individualized support and feedback to students. You can change the feedback and the course of learning (to some extent) w.r.t. to the learners’ progress.

This is what it looks like:

What do I need to know?

  • Any text added at “Start Typing...” will be visible to readers like in a normal flow. Every button symbolizes a new path.

  • You can rename a button.

  • You can add multiple buttons at the same level.

  • You can add a button inside a button.

  • Limitation: You can add only one quest widget inside a lesson.
