Technical Interviews
Get an overview of the technical interviews for engineering managers.
We'll cover the following
System design and product design
All companies have some form of technical interviews to evaluate the technical skills of engineering managers. As leaders who are responsible for managing and coordinating the work of a team of engineers, engineering managers should have experience with technical project management and be able to demonstrate their knowledge of computer science and software engineering principles. While it may not be expected for managers to write code themselves, they should be able to evaluate the design and architecture of a system, understand the trade-offs involved, and conduct code reviews. A strong technical understanding also allows managers to earn the respect and trust of their team members and make informed decisions about a project’s complexity.
