Text Fields and Text Areas
Text fields are commonly used in the forms to take text data from the user and send it to the server. In addition to the common text fields, there are two specialized variants of text fields, namely password fields and text areas.

Password fields: Password fields are a specialized type of text field. The difference between a text field and a password field is that the characters in a password field are masked, i.e., shown as either asterisks or circles.

Text areas: The difference between a text field and a text area is that the text area allows multiple lines of the text input, whereas a text field supports a maximum of one line of input text only. The examples of text field, text area, and password field are given below:
