Timeline

3/31: Get introduced to the workshop, learn the basics of technical writing, and practice what you've learned. A mini-course on technical writing and topics for you to write on during the workshop will be sent out at this time.

4/4: First day to start writing -- all topics should be chosen at this time.

4/5: Deep dive into Educative widgets and how to use Docker to make external environments run on Educative.

4/10: First submission due by 12am EAT.

4/19: All reviews sent back to participants.

4/20: Meet-up where participants can ask questions and get help on reviews. This will be held at 7pm EAT.

4/24: Second submission due by 12am EAT.

5/2: All reviews sent back to participants.

5/8: Final submission due by 12am EAT.

5/12: All Answers published. [All participants who are published will receive a 1-month gift subscription. Winners will receive up to a 1-year subscription to Educative.io courses.]

5/15: Resume workshop with Adora Nwodo at 7pm EAT.

5/19: Winners are announced. [Participants who are published will be encouraged to market their Answers for two weeks to increase their likelihood of winning.]

Is the workshop in person?

The Educative Technical Writing Workshop is a remote workshop that is structured and guided by Educative. Although you will write your article on a schedule, it will be up to you to stay on top of the schedule and submit on time.

How are workshop winners chosen?

At the end of the workshop, we encourage you to share your article with your professional and social circles. After 1 week, each article’s views will be tallied and the three articles that received the most views will be chosen as winners. The authors of these articles will receive up to a 1-year gift subscription to Educative Unlimited.
