How Educative referrals work

Thanks for helping to grow the Educative community! We hope that you’re just as excited about having your friends and family join as we are about having them.

Below we’ve laid a out a few brief points of guidance around the referral program. In addition, this program is subject to the Educative Terms of Service.

How does the program work?

Any existing Educative user, whose account is in good standing, can share their unique Referral Link with a new Educative user. Once the new user (referee) uses that Referral Link to create an account and makes their first purchase, the referrer will be automatically given Educative Credit worth 10% of the dollar value of the referee’s first purchase.

Note that a referrer can earn credit from each referee only once.

How do I find my Referral Link?

You can find your unique Referral Link by visiting educative.io/refer-a-friend while logged in to your account, or by clicking the “Refer a friend” button on the left toolbar while logged in, if available.

How do I check my Educative Credit balance?

Your Educative Credit balance should also be visible to you when you visit educative.io/refer-a-friend while logged in to your account, or click the “Refer a friend” button on the left toolbar, if available.

How do I redeem my Educative Credit?

If your account has Educative Credit, you should see it as an option during the checkout process of your next purchase.

Using Educative Credit for a purchase is optional. However, note that if your credit amount does not fully cover the value of your purchase, your credit amount must be used either in its entirety, or not used at all.

Will my Educative Credit expire?

Your credit has no time limit on it, and will not expire.

What kind of actions aren’t permitted?

We want you to share your Referral Link and earn Educative Credit, but this must be done only for personal purposes, and not for commercial purposes. This means that you can share your Referral Link only with people you know.

By accessing your Referral Link, you agree that you will not:

1. Duplicate, sell, or transfer your Referral Link in any manner or make it available to the general public through any avenue, including but not limited to forums such as Reddit and Hacker News, or using paid social media or paid search.
2. Use, display, or manipulate Educative intellectual property (such as logos, trademarks, and copyright-protected works) in any way, except to identify yourself as an Educative user or referrer.
3. Use automated systems or bots through any channel to distribute, post, or otherwise share your Referral Link.
4. Make misleading claims about Educative, use offensive/abusive content, create fake websites/webpages/social media profiles/apps, misrepresent your connection to Educative, or otherwise make any false or misleading statements to get a referee to use your Referral Link.
5. Use your Referral Link in any manner that violates the law or the rights of anyone else.

In addition, this program is subject to the Educative Terms of Service.

Termination

Educative reserves the right to prevent you from participating in any referral program (now or in the future) at any time for suspected fraud or abuse. These could also result in the forfeiture or retraction of Educative Credit or other rewards earned through the program and even the deactivation of your account.
