Dr. Muhammad Wasim Nawaz, an assistant professor of Computer Engineering, has teaching and research experience in Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Data Science and Digital Signal & Image Processing.
ABOUT ME
Muhammad Wasim Nawaz received a PhD degree in Computer Engineering from University of Wollongong, Australia in 2016. His teaching and research interests include Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Data Science, and Digital Signal & Image Processing. During his tenure spanning more than 10 years at various academic institutions, he taught the aforementioned subjects. He has published his research in various journals and conferences. Furthermore, he has compiled two Python-based tutorial-style books for beginners in machine learning, data science, and statistics. He has actively participated in the curriculum development for bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in Computer Engineering at the University of Lahore. Dr. Wasim has worked as a coordinator for the implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) for engineering education. He has developed OBE assessments and evaluation processes and conducted various faculty trainings for the successful implementation of OBE.
