My software engineering journey began over 5 years ago, after leaving an artist management position in the music industry to pursue a career in the field. After attending Flatiron, I went to work for Syntx, a small software consulting agency, where I worked across a number of different client projects ranging from kickstarting greenfield applications, to overhauling legacy codebases, to extending backend services. After Syntx, I joined as the second software engineer at Sensible Weather, where I currently work. As the first frontend engineering hire, I worked to build out the team's frontend development environment as well as the initial production-level applications. This work has spanned all corners of the JavaScript world including React, Node, Astro, Jest testing, Cypress, production infrastructure (ie Docker, cloud services), monorepo tooling, SASS, and more.
