The request

These numbers are better than anything we’ve had in years. Storm season starts in two months, and our other two centers are already behind. Let’s turn it on at all three centers next Monday. We can do the governance paperwork in parallel.

Every part of the argument has real weight. The results are strong, the backlog is hurting customers at the other centers, and storm season will make it worse. The vice president is the sponsor whose support the engagement depends on. A response that treats the request as reckless would damage that relationship.
