The Claude Certified Architect exam tests your ability to design reliable AI systems that combine Claude with predictable, code-enforced workflows, make sound architectural trade-offs, and avoid production failures caused by treating language models like conventional code. As teams move AI systems from prototypes into production, these skills are increasingly important for AI engineers and architects. This course draws on my work in adaptive AI, intelligent computing, and service-oriented systems, along with years of research in neural networks and intelligent tutoring systems. One recurring issue I have seen is that engineers often know how to call or integrate an LLM but struggle to decide what the model should handle and what code should enforce. That boundary is central to the certification exam and to production-ready AI engineering. Throughout this course, you will build a Claude-powered system step by step while learning the engineering principles behind key design decisions. You will implement agent loops in Python, design tool integrations with clear inputs, outputs, and failure handling, write prompts that produce measurable, verifiable outputs, configure Claude Code for team workflows and CI pipelines, and recognize the architectural anti-patterns commonly tested on the exam. Each lesson uses runnable code, scenario-based exercises, and assessment quizzes to help you reason from production constraints instead of memorizing answers.
