Now that we have a good understanding of the available storage options on AWS, let’s compare them side by side to find suitable solutions for our application.
We are looking for:
- A storage option for the operating system and application (base image or boot volume).
- A storage option for dynamically changing files, like images that are used on our WordPress blog.
For that, we need to keep in mind that WordPress normally stores files in a file system and that our Bitnami WordPress image is stored in an AMI.
