What is the free tier?
AWS offers some of its services for free, some of it for the first 12 months of creating an account, some of it forever, and some in the form of free trials (usually new offerings).
To see which kinds of services on AWS we can use for free, we can take a look at the AWS Free Tier page. In this course, we’ll heavily rely on the 750 hours of free usage for the AWS compute and database services—EC2 and RDS. We’ll also use the free tier of the AWS storage service EFS. Please note that these are only free for the first 12 months after creating an account.
