Agile methods allow us to handle rapidly changing requirements, typical in most software projects. These methods are conventionally used for small teams and software projects. However, in this course, you will learn how to effectively apply Agile methods to large software projects and large teams.

You’ll start with a recap of the Agile Manifesto, followed by a description of the common challenges associated with Agile methods in the context of large software projects. You’ll learn how Agile approaches have been applied to build responsibility. Next, you’ll learn about approaches to apply Agile methods in the processes. You will then learn best practices for applying Agile methods such as software testing, and software architecture. 

This course provides insights into successful and unsuccessful approaches to introducing agility to teams, processes, and technology aspects of large projects. It also teaches strategies to secure organizational buy-in for agility in the context of large projects and teams.

## Intended audience
The course is aimed at **change agents**, the people who want to create and establish an agile process despite the difficulties of a large team.  This course will also benefit change agents in small projects in a non-agile environment. We assume that the change agent already has some familiarity with agile processes in general or with a particular process (Extreme Programming, for example). This course will be definitely of interest to people who: 
*  Have tried and failed to use agile methodologies in large projects.
* Have succeeded in using agile methodologies in large projects.
* Have not tried agile methodologies in large projects but would like to do so.
* Are firm believers of the linear (waterfall) model and think agile processes will not work (in large projects) anyway.
*  Are firm believers of agile processes, but think they would never work on large projects.

So, as a change agent, the prospective course reader is probably working on a large team as a project manager, a process coach, a consultant, or a developer. The intended reader would like to use an agile process for the large project they are working on but is unsure how.
